About Me
#

With a formal education in architecture and a life-long passion for computation, my career has been centered around the integration of computation, including artificial intelligence, into diverse fields such as art and design. I have extensive experience in leveraging technology to drive innovation and create transformative solutions. This blog is a platform to share my work and insights as I continue to explore these areas.

I am a co-founder and the CEO/CTO of Lexset, a synthetic data platform with its flagship product, Seahaven. Seahaven uses simulation and procedurally generated 3D graphics to train deep learning models. The company has pioneered many techniques using simulation to train and deploy deep learning models for the security and defense industries. The company focuses on simulation to train computer vision systems, reaching beyond traditional cameras, and has developed proprietary radar, LiDAR, and sonar simulation capabilities. Our work doesn’t stop at simulation; we have also developed technologies for measuring and analyzing domain gaps, as well as training protocols that ensure success using simulation to train deep learning models. I co-founded the company because I believe that it will be important for AI systems to interact with physics models and various other modes of simulation for many reasons, including privacy preservation and the development of ethical AI models, as well as to facilitate powerful active learning feedback loops so that models can improve themselves.

Previously, I was the founder and operator of the Studio Bitonti. While operating the studio, my projects were featured in Wired, The New York Times, Fast Company, and The Wall Street Journal. Studio Bitonti developed products and technologies for both fortune 500 companies and startups. Our work has been collected and featured in prestigious institutions such as the Smithsonian Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum, the Museum of Arts and Design, the Boston Museum of Fine Art, the High Museum, and the Mint Museum.

I am also the author of 3D Printing Design: Additive Manufacturing and the Materials Revolution, a book that explores the impact of 3D printing on design disciplines.
